Christmas Designs

A whole range of Christmas designs to choose from - some scriptural, some liturgical, some traditional; others celebrating the winter season or the festive spirit amongst family and friends - and a very few, offering a tongue-in-cheek perspective for those who dare to send them!  I try to produce a new Christmas collection each year, and am always open to suggestions - so please get in touch if you feel inspired to offer an idea.

Individual cards are printed on a variety of smooth and textured board  according to design (300-330gsm board with 120-135gsm envelopes).  Multi-card packs are printed on an attractive white linen textured card (250gsm board with 110gsm linen textured envelopes).

Unless otherwise stated, the message inside all these cards is “Happy Christmas”.  Free Personalisation  is available if ordering 30 or more cards of the same design.  Just £2 per design for smaller orders. Please contact me directly for all personalisation services.

Top tip: All Christmas postcards  priced at just £5 for 6 (inc envelopes)!  Find them in the drop down lists and help save a forest.

Doors Ancient Voices Carols

CAROLS  Old family favourites.  The spirit of Christmas in tune & verse

Truth

WHAT IS TRUTH?  A question of our time.  No answers; just a few lines of  Scripture to ponder over the festive season.

From Joyce Kilmer's poem, a wintry image celebrating the beauty of nature & reflected in the sparse calligraphic style.  For Christmas - or any occasion.

12:  From Trees by Joyce Kilmer (1886-1918)

The inside left of the card reads:  Art thou come back on earth for our teaching, to train or to warn?  Hush, how may we know, knowling only a child is born?

30: Verse from “The Nativity” by G K Chesterton.

Hand finished with silver coloured ink.

36:  John Milton : Ode on the Morning of Christ's Nativity

A festive celebration of the Christmas Season.

38:  Traditional -  Sing hey!

A very popular design and a great favourite of my own.  This is one of my earlier designs, and I still haven't recovered from the sheer joyful heft of that Ox!

41:  verse from The Oxen by Thomas Hardy

I found the timbre of this poem to be redolent of the work of Christina Rossetti, so the design was inspired by the Edwardian romance with all things bucolic and other-wordly:  nymphs & shepherds, fairies and tiny tree angels flitting through the art deco forest trilling the Good News on their pipes.   The full poem is scribed on the 3 inside pages with a coninuation of the front design.  A seriously special card for someone you really care about this Christmas.

243: Wychwood Carol - a trifold card.    Words by Elizabeth Stuart, Music by June Boyce-Tillman
